Just finished a fantastic gothic ghost story “The Silent Companions” by Laura Purcell. Last year’s Halloween read was great too “The dead house” by Billy O’Callaghan. Some books from the past that fit this category which I really enjoyed “Harvest Home” by Thomas Tryon and “Weathering” by Lucy Wood.
