Angel by L J Ross @LJRoss_author #BookReview #DCIRyan #Book4

Angel cover

My review…..

OH. MY. GOODNESS!

What a way to end a book! Obviously, High Force (book 5) was downloaded immediately!

I’m kind of glad I came to this series a little late as I don’t have to wait for the next book to be written, although that is often part of the fun when you find a series/author you love. I have been a huge fan of LJ Ross since I read Holy Island (The DCI Ryan Mystery Series, book1) and I know I said this in my previous review, but this series really is getting better and better.

It’s Easter weekend and instead of a peaceful holiday DCI Ryan and his team find themselves with a new serial killer on their hands. A woman is found in a shallow grave, in a cemetery. She has been placed in the shape of an Angel and it isn’t long before a second victim is found in another cemetery. As always, Ryan and his team put the hours in and race against the clock to find this murderer before anyone else loses their life. In the meantime, all natural red headed women are advised to be vigilant, including one of their own team, as this killer certainly has a type.

This is another fast-paced, tense read with everything you could want in a murder mystery. Plot driven, but with excellent characterisation. Real people with real relationships. Strong friendships, loyalty, humour and also romance. I love how Ryan’s and Anna’s relationship is developing, as well as romances between other team members. I was totally gripped from the first page to the last and I can’t wait to start High Force.

I do believe these books would be fine to read as standalones, but I highly recommend you read them in order because there are regular characters that we get to know that little bit better with each book and there are also references to previous cases. Plus, lets face it, it’s an awesome series, set in a beautiful part of our country, so why would you not want to read them all!?

Description…..

FROM THE #1 INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF HOLY ISLAND

He’ll make you his angel, but first you have to die…

After a turbulent time, DCI Ryan’s life is finally returning to normal and he’s looking forward to spending an uneventful Easter bank holiday weekend with his fiancée.

Then, on Good Friday morning he is called out to a crime scene at one of the largest cemeteries in Newcastle. The body of a redheaded woman has been found buried in a shallow grave and the killer has given her wings, like an angel.

Soon, another woman is found at a different cemetery, followed quickly by another. Panic spreads like wildfire as a new serial killer is born, and Ryan’s band of detectives must work around the clock to unmask him before he can strike again.

Murder and mystery are peppered with romance and humour in this fast paced crime whodunnit set amidst the spectacular Northumbrian landscape.

#BlogTour #AuthorInterview with @MishaHerwin

I’m delighted to be joining in with Misha Herwin’s Shadows On The Grass blog tour 🙂

(If you missed my review the link will be at the bottom of this post)

Misha Herwin

For those who don’t know already, could you tell us about yourself and your book(s) please?

I’m Misha Herwin and I write books for adults and children as well as short stories and plays.

Where did/do you get your ideas from?

That is a really difficult question. I suppose the answer is that I don’t really know. Mostly I see a character in a particular place and then their story comes to me. With my latest novel, “Shadows on the Grass” however, the inspiration came from wanting to know more about my own family history. As I began researching I realised there was so much material there that had to be put in a novel.

Are any of your characters based (however loosely) on anyone you know?

This links in with the previous question, because although the stories I was told about my family were the starting point of “Shadows on the Grass” the people in the book were not based on anyone living or dead. If they do resemble anyone it was not intentional. As a writer, I am fascinated by people and their relationships. I am also a great people watcher and I love to listen to conversations on buses and trains. So it is perfectly possible that, without being conscious of doing so, I use character traits of people I know, or meet when I am creating a character. The one exception to this is my “Dragonfire” series for kids, where all the main characters are based on people I know, with their permission of course.

How do you pick your characters names?

Mostly they just come but sometimes I really struggle. In the past when I was writing “Teething Troubles” a play about a vampire who comes to school and I needed some unusual names I opened a dictionary at random and just jabbed at the words with a pencil. That gave me my main character a girl called Scoria, who also happened to be a vampire, because her parents spent their honeymoon in Transylvania.

Can you share your writing process with us, in a nutshell?

I plan every chapter before I write and I write at least an hour every day. This might not seem much but the hour is an absolute minimum. Otherwise I might do a whole morning, or a whole day.

Who are your top 5 favourite authors?

Jane Austen, Lucy M Boston, James Lee Burke, Donna Leon, Ian Rankin

If you could meet any author, who would it be and what would you ask them?

I’d like to ask J K Rowlands how many times “Harry Potter” was rejected.

Were you a big reader as a child?

I read all the time. As I slept in a bedroom at the front of the house, I would even read by the light of the streetlamp.

When did you start to write?

As soon as I could, which I suppose was around the age of eight. By the time I left primary school I had already written a historical novel set in the time of the Civil War.

If you could re-write the ending to any book what would it be and what would you change?

“Emma”. I don’t want her to have married Mr Knightly. He’s too much of a father figure; she should be more equally matched.

Is there a book you wish you had written?

“The Children of Green Knowe” by Lucy M Boston as it’s the perfect time slip novel.

If you wrote an autobiography, what would your title be?

“I did it”.

If you could invite any fictional character for coffee who would it be and where would you take them?

Cathy Earnshaw from “Wuthering Heights” I’d take her to a café in Harrogate and tell her over coffee and scones not to waste her energy on Heathcliff.

What are you working on right now?

I’m working on promoting “Shadows on the Grass”, editing a children’s book “City of Secrets” and planning a new time slip novel.

Do you have a new release due?

“City of Secrets”, a book for 8-12 year olds, is due out in the autumn.

What do you generally do to celebrate on publication day?

Have a large glass of wine, take deep breaths and eat cake.

How can readers keep in touch with you?

Through my website HERE

Facebook LINK and I tweet and @MishHerwin.

Is there anything else you would like us to know?

That “Shadows on the Grass” is now out as an e-book on Amazon CLICK

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, Misha 🙂

Shadows On The Grass

Every family has its secrets. In the nineteen-sixties Bristol, seventeen-year-old Kate is torn between the new sexual freedom and her rigid Catholic upbringing. Her parents have high expectations of her. She, however, is determined to lead her own life.

Mimi, her grandmother, is dying. In her final hours, Mimi’s cousin, the Princess, keeps watch at her bedside. Born in the same month, in the same year, the two women are bound by their past and a terrible betrayal.

Meanwhile, caught between the generations, Mimi’s daughter Hannah struggles to come to come to terms with her relationship with her mother, and struggles to keep the peace between her daughter and her husband. She too must find her own way in a land foreign to her, in a new post-war world, where the old certainties have gone and everything she knows has been swept away.

Indulgence and Temperance cover

Indulgence and Temperance by Faye Hall

Would you abandon the woman you love for your own indulgence?

Beth Meridian has returned home, hoping to leave her sordid past behind her and settle into a quiet life. When her childhood friend, Hannah Raeburn, offers her a place to stay, Beth knows it won’t be long until she runs into Hannah’s brother, Daniel. What she doesn’t expect is for him to reignite feelings deep in her heart, reminding her of the kiss they shared before she left town.

Daniel Raeburn’s past is scandalous, his sinful indulgences allowing him more wealth than he could ever need. Still, he wants more, and his gluttonous appetite for wealth and women leads him to buy into a partnership at the local hellfire club.

When Hannah goes missing, Beth and Daniel follow her trail through the Australian outback. Witnessing the womanizer Daniel is, Beth flees on a cattle train headed north. Desperate to explain his actions, Daniel follows her.

Arriving in the small town of Jarvisfield, Daniel is shocked to learn that Beth is now the owner of the largest cattle company in the area. He’s even more shocked to discover that the preacher controlling the town, and stealing from the townspeople, is his once business partner William Maxon. He’s convinced this man is also responsible for his sister’s disappearance. When he learns William has Beth picked out as his next victim, Daniel knows he must do whatever it takes to make her listen to the truth. But she has no interest in hearing anything he has to say.

Faced with losing the two women he loves, Daniel is forced to choose between their freedom and the possessions and wealth he has hoarded over the years. But even if he gives it all up, he still might lose everything.

Excerpt…..

“What would you have me do? Pretend that this man chasing my sister is genuine and not some money-grabbing monster?”

“You don’t know him,” she tried again.

“Neither does she,” he said, his voice raised. “And neither do you.”

She went to walk past him, following Hannah’s direction out the back of the house. He reached out, his hand on her forearm stopping her.

“I didn’t mean to sound so harsh, Beth,” he said. “I’m sorry.”

She nodded as if understanding. “I understand that you love your sister. So do I. I shan’t just sit back and watch her walk into a trap. Nor shall I stand by and watch as her brother robs her of a chance of what may be happiness.”

“How dare you presume to know what I want for my sister.”

She pulled away from him. “I dare because I grew up with you. Every time your sister wanted to do something you always had to interfere.”

“She is naïve,” he told her. “Had I not taken control of her life, heaven knows what would have happened to her.”

She raised her brow. “I understand you need to protect Hannah against lecherous men. That doesn’t explain why you had to be her constant chaperone when she was meeting up with me.”

He lowered his gaze. “I needed to go with her.”

“Do you think that I would also take advantage of your sister?” she asked. “That I have prolonged our friendship only so I might get my claws into her fortune?”

He shook his head, his gaze cautiously rising back to hers. “I know you would do anything for my sister, Beth.”

“Then why did you need to follow Hannah everywhere we went?”

“I did it for you,” he whispered, the words being dragged from him.

“What?” she asked.

He smiled softly. “I played chaperone for my sister so I might be able to see you,” he repeated. “In the hope that you would notice me.”

“All you ever had to do was ask,” she whispered. Approaching him, her lips gently fused to his.

His hands went to her upper arms, pushing her away. “What are you doing?” he asked. Trying desperately to grip onto what remained of his control, he reminded himself that being here with this woman so intimately was far from appropriate. No matter how much he desired her, he couldn’t afford to succumb to such passion. Not there, and certainly not now.

She shook off his hold, her fingers hesitantly going to the buttons of his shirt. Slowly, she began undoing them one by one. “Do you remember the last time we saw each other before I left town?” she asked.

His hands went to hers, stilling her movements. “The image of you that day…” His words drifted off. He didn’t understand why she was acting this way with him, but he couldn’t deny that her movements were ripping at his restraint. He had always hungered for this woman, but now that she was there with him like this, he couldn’t help but wonder why. “Why did you send for me that day?” he asked, his words strained.

“I wanted to see you before I left town,” she muttered. Shaking off his hands, she continued unbuttoning his shirt. “Do you ever wonder what would have happened had your sister not arrived?”

Interview with Linda Ferreri…..

Where did/do you get your ideas from?

I had to go nowhere because it all fell right into my life out of the clear blue sky, as they say. I came to know the Crown of the Andes over 25 yeas ago. The rest is history. Some of that, restyled, is in the previous novel entitled One Sacred Crown.

Are any of your characters based (however loosely) on anyone you know?

Yes. Phyllis is based on someone I know very well and hold dear. Baldo is loosely based on someone I know and was initially inspired by him. There are others that I should not specify here. I don’t want to spoil anything.

How do you pick your characters names?

I worry about the names of my characters quite a lot and have to change them as the characters morph during the writing. I just changed one two days ago because his ethnicity became important to the story. I work and work at it until I am sure the name fits. It has to sound good, not only read well.

Can you share your writing process with us, in a nutshell?

Happily. I think at night and in the wee hours of the morning when the characters talk to me. They call me, literally. I write in the morning. I know the general plot when I start but I do not have a tidy outline or adhere to one. I follow my characters in the adventure. The most difficult moments are those in which I have to decide whether the timing is right for something dramatic. Are we (the readers and I) ready yet for this or that to spring on us?

The keyboard of my Macintosh computer and I are one. My thoughts just flow right through my fingers.

Who are your top 5 favourite authors?

I quite love Jayne Austen, Henry James, Dorothy Sayers, William Thackeray and Anthony Trollope. Who doesn’t?

If you could meet any author, who would it be and what would you ask them?

Of course I would like to meet J. K. Rowling and ask her whether she really wrote all of that in a café. I understand that! I love writing in public where people bring me coffee and I don’t have to listen to the telephone or any distractions.

Were you a big reader as a child?

Yes, but I was more of a visualizer and imaginer, I think.

When did you start to write?

Early. I won a writing contest when I was very young and produced a short essay on the importance of Thomas Alva Edison. I think I was born talking and typing.

If you could re-write the ending to any book what would it be and what would you change?

Honestly, I don’t know about that. I reflect on cases in which there have been multiple endings, e.g. some of Hitchcock’s films. I have never liked the ending of Gone with the Wind but I don’t know what else I would do with it.

Is there a book you wish you had written?

I guess that I don’t have that much ego. I do admire great writers tremendously. I think often about the days when they did it all with a pen and ink. I could not possibly write that slowly. I am in their awe, truly.

If you wrote an autobiography, what would your title be?

So many lives, by accident

If you could invite any fictional character for coffee who would it be and where would you take them?

I have always wanted to know how Miss Marple just helped herself into the role of detective over and over and over again. I mean, she pushed into each crime so gently. My characters are thrust in as often as not. It’s an interesting question for thriller writers like me with the volunteer protagonist. So I would take Miss Marple out for coffee, right here in Le Marche to one of my absolutely favorite places Locanda Le Logge in Urbisaglia, for a big chat on that topic.

What are you working on right now?

Right now, I am writing another thriller involving the two protagonists in The Matte of the Crown. It, too, takes place in the United States and in Le Marche, Italy. It, too, involves an art crime and a famous work of art. I am more than halfway into it and deeply involved in it. The characters are depriving me enough sleep some nights. They talk to me and demand attention at some of the most inconvenient times! The back story is challenging in this one.

Do you have a new release due?

Not yet but soon. The next thriller novel is moving along swiftly here.

What do you generally do to celebrate on publication day?

Talk too much about myself to people who marvel and wonder about me, e.g. the lovely ladies behind the counter here at my local supermarket who wonder why I don’t publish these books in Italian so they can read them.

How can readers keep in touch with you?

TheMatteroftheCrown.com and the website I will put up as soon as the new book is ready.

Is there anything else you would like us to know?

Yes. This story belongs on the silver screen because it is astoundingly visual. The Crown of the Andes itself (Gallery 357 in The Metropolitan Museum of Art) is astounding in its beauty and splendor. The hill towns of Le Marche are gorgeous and scenic. The story is so juicy and the history so rich. It just belongs there, and that’s that. Everybody who reads it says so and I certainly think that.

I thank all of you for your blogging. It’s a huge help to readers out there. There are so many good books to read but we all appreciate a lead to the right one.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, Linda 🙂

The Best Boomerville Hotel cover reveal

Today I have the pleasure of joining in with Caroline James’s cover reveal for The Best Boomerville Hotel! 🙂

Many thanks to Rachel, at Rachel’s Random Resources.

Let the shenanigans begin at the Best Boomerville Hotel …

Jo Docherty and Hattie Contaldo have a vision – a holiday retreat in the heart of the Lake District exclusively for guests of ‘a certain age’ wishing to stimulate both mind and body with new creative experiences. One hotel refurbishment later and the Best Boomerville Hotel is open for business!

Perhaps not surprisingly Boomerville attracts more than its fair share of eccentric clientele: there’s fun-loving Sir Henry Mulberry and his brother Hugo; Lucinda Brown, an impoverished artist with more ego than talent; Andy Mack, a charming Porsche-driving James Bond lookalike, as well as Kate Simmons, a woman who made her fortune from an internet dating agency but still hasn’t found ‘the One’ herself.

With such an array of colourful individuals there’s bound to be laughs aplenty, but could there be tears and heartbreak too and will the residents get more than they bargained for at Boomerville?

About the author…..

Caroline James

Caroline’s new book, The Best Boomerville Hotel is being described by early reviews as ‘Britain’s answer to the Best Marigold Hotel – a fabulous read!’ and will be published on March 13th 2018 by award-winning British Independent Publisher, ChocLit, under their new imprint Ruby Fiction.

Caroline James spends her time writing romantic comedy, climbing mountains and running a consultancy business. She is a member of the Romantic Novelists Association a Feature Editor for an online magazine. Caroline writes short stories and contributes articles to many publications.

#AuthorInterview with @AishaTritle

Today I have the pleasure of welcoming Aisha Tritle to Chat About Books 🙂

Aisha Tritle

For those who don’t know already, could you tell us about yourself and your book(s) please?

Hi! My name is Aisha Tritle. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, but currently live in Los Angeles. I do a lot of things but writing novels and plays is my true passion! My day job is in marketing for tech startups, and I act as well. I’ve been writing for almost as long I could read.

My novel, “Occidis,” is a Young Adult Adventure. It’s about a girl, Sophia, who was recruited at the age of ten to train as an assassin by a Danish tech billionaire, Norbert Alexander. The story starts when Sophia’s seventeen and suffering from panic attacks. She’s kidnapped when on a job and told to take down the program she’s been in for nearly half her life; and she overcomes her confidence issues to do that.

In addition to writing books, I also write plays. My one-act comedy, “The Misfortune of Lionel Schlüsselberg,” was published by Lazy Bee Scripts and performed by the Northumbria Drama Society. I also have another one-act comedy, “Christopher Goes Through a Breakup,” that I’ve signed with Off the Wall Plays for – hopefully that will come out soon. I have two dark comedies out on submission currently: “Death by Kombucha: The Story of a Hipster Murder” and “Sugar Babies Anonymous.”

Where did/do you get your ideas from?

Everything gives me ideas! For Occidis, Norbert was partially inspired by someone my dad used to work with. He was very powerful and I always wondered what would happen if he decided to use that power for evil.

My imagination has always been very active, and I grew up with a lot of homeschooled genius children. Also, I was obsessed with spies! I seriously wanted to be a spy well into my teens. So, I always daydreamed about what would happen if prodigious children were recruited as spies. The premise of Occidis is essentially that, but altered a bit.

How do you pick your characters names?

I love picking names. Most of the time I’ll have names stuck in my head that I think are particularly pretty or strong, but sometimes I do something as simple as scrolling through baby names online. If I base a character off a real person, I normally ask them to pick the name of the character.

Can you share your writing process with us, in a nutshell?

I try to write every day. On the weekdays, I’ll spend an hour or two typing away in the late afternoon or early evening. On weekends, I usually spend mornings and afternoons writing.

I like to outline everything first – personally, it makes everything quicker and easier. Plus, when you have an outline to look over, you can check and make sure all the details in your story line up. I learned the hard way about outlining. Occidis was written completely from the hip, and I definitely wish I’d outlined the story first.

The consumption of coffee is also a very important part of my writing process. I’ve recently taken to cold brew.

Who are your top 5 favourite authors?

Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Jane Austen, Emily Brontë, and Anthony Horowitz.

If you could meet any author, who would it be and what would you ask them?

Agatha Christie! I’ve always found her fascinating. I would ask her what she would consider the single most important thing for a writer to know.

Were you a big reader as a child?

Yes! I was homeschooled, and would try to get all my schoolwork done so I could just go read. My mother and I went to a lot of used book sales when I was growing up, and we ended up acquiring bookshelves upon bookshelves of classic literature that I hungrily devoured.

When did you start to write?

Shortly after I began reading. I still have a notebook which I filled with stories when I was about six years old.

If you could re-write the ending to any book what would it be and what would you change?

Oh heavens, this is a hard question. I really can’t think of any book endings that I’d like to rewrite. It’s hard for me to think about changing someone else’s story.

Is there a book you wish you had written?

Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. To be capable of writing such a masterpiece would be an amazing thing.

If you wrote an autobiography, what would your title be?

Haha! “Aisha Tritle: Author and Cookie Fiend.” I’m not sure. I’m really bad at coming up with titles! It’s actually the only part of writing books that I really dread.

If you could invite any fictional character for coffee who would it be and where would you take them?

I would invite Mr. Darcy to the cafe down the street for some cold brew or tea.

What are you working on right now?

I’m about to move into the editing phase of a vampire novella. It’s called “Vamp” and is the first in the Quimby Bay series. That will be coming out in either May or June. I’m also halfway through writing the sequel to Occidis!

Tell us about your last release?

My last release was Occidis. I was so excited! It’s my first proper novel that’s been sent out into the world.

Do you have a new release due?

I don’t know exact release dates yet, but Vamp will be coming out in May or June. “Christopher Goes Through a Breakup” should be out soon from Off the Wall Plays. The sequel to Occidis will be coming out later this year.

What do you generally do to celebrate on publication day?

I drink Guinness, eat a big burger, and dance.

How can readers keep in touch with you?

I’m very active on social media. I’m on Instagram as @aisharebekah, and on Twitter as @AishaTritle. I also have recently become extremely active on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/17207184.Aisha_Tritle

Is there anything else you would like us to know?

Please do follow me on Goodreads! I love interacting with readers. If you enjoy Occidis, I would greatly appreciate a rating or review on Amazon or Goodreads. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions, Aisha 🙂

Occidis cover

At the age of ten, Sophia was offered a choice: join Program Occidis and train to become an assassin, or let her mother die.

Seven years later, Sophia’s life serves one purpose: to do the bidding of the narcissistic Danish billionaire who controls her, Norbert Alexander. But her panic attacks keep getting in the way of her job, and when she witnesses the death of another Member, Sophia knows her time of sanity is running out.

When the handsome new member of Occidis, Ilya, kidnaps her while on a job and tells her she’s been chosen to take down the man she’s served for almost half of her life, Sophia reluctantly accepts. Things start to unravel, however, and Sophia finds herself fighting to balance her attraction and distrust when the details of Ilya’s mysterious history come to light.

With her life threatened at every turn, Sophia goes on a transatlantic mission to destroy the man responsible for the deaths of so many.

Enjoy!

Magic of Stars cover reveal

Hiya! I am delighted to be joining in with Jackie Ladbury’s cover reveal for Magic Of Stars 🙂

Many thanks to Rachel, at Rachel’s Random Resources, for the opportunity to take part.

The Magic of Stars

Sapphire Montrose always felt like a loser in the struggle of life, but when she becomes the airline manager of a run-down airline she starts to believe she is a winner – until she unwittingly propositions her new boss and all her hard work is undone. In a moment of recklessness air stewardess, Sapphire Montrose throws caution and her dress to the wind by propositioning a handsome stranger in a hotel in Florence, only to find herself waking up alone and embarrassed in her hotel room.

Unfortunately for Sapphire, it turns out that her new boss, Marco Cavarelli, is the man she failed to seduce and she is now fighting for her job and her self-respect when he tells her there is no place in his revamped airline for an alcoholic woman with lascivious tendencies. To make matters worse she is increasingly attracted to him and he seems to be giving out the same vibes. Or is he simply testing her? One wrong move could be the end of her career. But what if he really is offering love – and is he worth the risk?

About Jackie Ladbury

Jackie Ladbury

Jackie Ladbury was desperate to become a journalist when she left school but was ousted within minutes on the day of the exam at her local rag because she’d forgotten to bring a pen.

Short and sharp lesson learned.

Her budding writing career was not on hold for long, though, as Jackie found herself scribbling love stories of pilots and ‘hosties’ while she flew in aeroplanes of various shapes and sizes as a flight attendant herself.

Fast forward a good few years and, after being short-listed in a couple of prestigious romantic writing competitions, Jackie decided it was time to discard her stilettos, say goodbye to the skies and concentrate on writing romantic novels, where the only given is a guaranteed ‘happy ever after.’

Happy launch day, Misha Herwin 🙂

Shadows On The Grass

My review…..

Shadows On The Grass is a fascinating read.

Set in the 1960’s, in Bristol, it centres around cousins Marianna and Mimi as well as Hannah, Mimi’s daughter. Born in to the same Polish family, but with very different upbringings, Marianna and Mimi have a love/hate relationship. Marianna had everything Mimi craved; wealth, status and especially the love of her mother. They are close throughout their lives, but there’s an underlying resentment between the two of them and I was keen to find out why.

Mimi is quite distant with Hannah. I really warmed to Hannah and felt quite sorry for her. She craves the love of her mother, never really ever feeling good enough, and it seems a shame that Mimi didn’t learn from her own mothers mistakes and try to be different with her daughters. As the story progresses though we start to learn of Mimi’s difficult past which goes some way towards explaining why she is how she is. At first she kind of comes across as a cantankerous old madam, but I guess it goes to show that we never know what people might be going through or have gone through which has shaped them into who they are.

The story regularly flashes back to the ladies childhoods where family secrets are revealed along the way. Some I expected, others not at all!

Most of the characters fascinated me throughout this story. Hannah’s daughter, Kate, especially. She is studying for her A Levels and is torn between her catholic upbringing and the desire to rebel. Not quite sure if she believes or not, but almost frightened not to. Pretending not to care much about her family, when she obviously does, more than she probably realises herself.

This is a story of family, love, loss and secrets. I love how it ended. It highlights how we all see things differently. Also how our ambitions and expectations of each other can be worlds apart.

Full of emotion, it is brilliantly written with some beautifully descriptive language. A captivating tale and one I am more than happy to recommend.

Many thanks to Misha Herwin for my ARC.

Description…..
